The decision of whether Defense Minister Lambrecht should resign ultimately depends on the specific circumstances surrounding the situation. If there are serious allegations of misconduct or incompetence that have been proven, then resignation may be necessary to uphold accountability and maintain public trust. However, if the accusations are unfounded or if the minister is taking appropriate steps to address any issues, resignation may not be warranted. It is important to thoroughly investigate the situation and consider all factors before making a decision on whether the Defense Minister should resign. **

The successor to Defense Minister Lambrecht should be someone with a strong background in defense and security policy, as well as experience in government and leadership. They should have a deep understanding of the challenges facing the German military and be able to effectively navigate the complex geopolitical landscape. Additionally, it would be beneficial for the successor to have a collaborative and diplomatic approach to working with international partners and allies. Ultimately, the successor should be someone who can effectively lead and modernize the German defense ministry while maintaining a commitment to international security and cooperation. **
